Monterey County Gives
Our 2025 Monterey County Gives (MC Gives) campaign brought our community together in an incredible show of generosity and support. Thanks to the generous contributions of more than 80 individuals and organizations, CHSolutions raised nearly $55,000. We are incredibly grateful for this outpouring of support, which helps us continue our mission and ensures that individuals and families in need have access to safety, stability, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
This year, Community Homeless Solutions’ MC Gives big idea is centered on our Housing, Health, Humanity – Triple H Program. Families and adults experiencing homelessness enroll in our shelter/housing programs to receive help with acquiring housing. Under our Housing, Health, Humanity program (Triple H), we encourage our clients to enroll in our health care component so they receive the support they need to manage/improve their health conditions, which often serve as a barrier to housing.
The link between homelessness and poor health is well understood as unhoused persons face higher rates of chronic health conditions, infectious/non-infectious diseases, mental health and substance use disorders. Our program recognizes this connection and “takes advantage” of their presence in our programs by motivating them to access our health care services.
Our Triple H Program will work with clients to develop and implement housing/service plans that enable them to obtain/retain stable, permanent housing. Healthcare staff will collaborate with clients, health providers and client support networks to ensure clients address and improve their health conditions.
